The inaugural Wedding Walk Tacoma took place on Sunday, and it was even better than expected! Big props to organizer Crystal of Trendy Event Rentals for pulling together over 60 vendors in 6 venues spread across half a mile of downtown Tacoma. And also to the expert designers and planners responsible for each venue. Although I was too busy chatting with attendees at my table in the Washington State History Museum to have a chance to see all the venues, I can report first-hand that both my venue and Union Station next door were absolutely gorgeous!

Washington State History Museum hosted the most vendors, so we had to be split over the 2nd and 4th floors (the 3rd floor being the main entrance). These photos are of the 4th floor, where Wallflower Photography teamed up with Valerie’s Invites, Blitz & Co Florist, Jacqui’s Cakes, and Snuffins Catering. Dawnet of A Piece Of Cake Events used vibrant green and pink accent colors to get everyone excited for spring — a cause to which the flawless weather also contributed heavily!

I was a bit rushed in my last-minute photography of Union Station, but I’m glad to have snapped these shots of the historic Union Station decked out in ultra-modern decor! Tammi of TLB Events was responsible for this one. Pairing pink and purple flower arrangements by Weddings Northwest Floral with silver and crystal, set off by a Chihuly backdrop, created a unique blend of classy and swanky that I really enjoyed.

If this is what Wedding Walk Tacoma can pull off in its first year, I’m really looking forward to seeing what will come in 2012!
