We just got the latest issue of Seattle Metropolitan Bride & Groom magazine the other day. I love this magazine’s extra-large pages! It’s truly of excellent quality, inside and out. Now I really want to shoot a wedding at the Manchester State Park Torpedo Warehouse (six miles east of Port Orchard) after seeing photos from a featured wedding that took place there.

We didn’t land any Real Wedding features in this issue, unfortunately — congrats to those who did. We didn’t advertise in it, either, but we’re proud that Wallflower Photography is still represented in three different ads!

First, we have the headlining photo on Newcastle Golf Club’s “Take Your Wedding Above All Else” ad on page 21. This is Laura’s well-traveled silhouette of Tanya and Jordan on the grassy knoll at sunset, with downtown Seattle and the Olympic Mountains in the distance, that won her an Accolade of Excellence from Wedding and Portrait Photographers International. A 36×45 inch shaped metal print of this photo looked amazing in our Seattle Wedding Show booth last January, too.

Speaking of which, one of Laura’s photos from the Seattle Wedding Show makes up the backdrop of their ad for the next show on January 12th & 13th, 2013. (Yes, we’ll be there.) This photo was taken in the booth of wedding venue The Ruins, and I love how it’s so ornate, detailed, and colorful, just like the venue itself is. I noticed this ad is also running on the home page of Seattle Bride magazine’s website.

The third photo is mine — a portrait of Estrella and Cam in front of Sodo Park at night, which made it into their ad on page 121.

We’ve made vendor relations our top marketing priority the last few years, and it was through those new and improved connections that all three of these photos found their way into SMBG. There’s pride (and bragging rights) in having your photos picked by other wedding professionals to represent them in such important, high-visibility applications as magazine ads.
