The badge logo of Tacoma's Top Wedding VenuesCongratulations to the 12 Tacoma-area wedding venues that made the just-announced 2014 roster of Tacoma’s Top Wedding Venues (www.tacomaweddingvenues.com)!

The big news this year is that former TTWV venue Kensington Gardens has transitioned from wedding venue to luxury senior assisted home. In their place, we’re so excited to include the Weyerhaeuser Estate! This historic brick mansion is beautiful inside and out, and its inaugural photo gallery on TTWV features highlights from two weddings that we photographed last year, one in the gardens on a hot summer day, the other indoors on a blustery fall day. Some of our favorite wedding photos of the year are in there, check it out!

We truly hope Blue Ribbon Cooking School, which operates the Weyerhaeuser Estate, and neighbors find a way to get along so that this won’t be the one and only year that we’re able to include the Weyerhaeuser Estate on the TTWV roster. Read more about the controversy in the 11/2/13 News Tribune article, Historic Tacoma mansion at center of neighborhood showdown.

Also for 2014, we’ve expanded on the photo galleries of Rock Creek Gardens, the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium, and Lakewold Gardens with highlights from weddings recently photographed there.

In addition to the 12 photo galleries on TTWV, one per venue, we also have separate online portfolio websites for six of those venues to show off even more photos from weddings we’ve photographed there:

Chambers Bay Weddings: www.chambersbaywedding.com
Museum of Glass Weddings: www.museumofglasswedding.com
Lakewold Gardens Weddings: www.lakewoldgardenswedding.com
Thornewood Castle Weddings: www.thornewoodcastlewedding.com
Tacoma Union Station Weddings: www.tacomaunionstationwedding.com
Washington State History Museum Weddings: www.wastatehistorymuseumwedding.com

Tacoma’s Top Wedding Venues, and our six affiliated venue portfolio websites, all represent a massive effort to help our favorite hometown wedding venues better market themselves to prospective brides from all over the region. Look: The Tacoma area has some truly spectacular, one-of-a-kind wedding venues. We know this better than just about anyone else, having shot weddings in nearly all of them over the years. And while none of these venues would be considered cheap, their price relative to comparable venues in the Seattle area are very competitive.

If you’re engaged and looking for the perfect wedding venue, start with Tacoma’s Top Wedding Venues, where you can see dozens of highlights of real weddings held at the very best venues in the Tacoma area. If you’ve already booked one of these venues for your wedding, use our photo galleries for ideas and inspiration, seeing how other couples have utilized and decorated your chosen venue.

We love photographing weddings at these 12 venues, and as you’ll see in these photos, we get top-notch images at each of them, every time. What’s the point of getting married in one of these awesome venues if your photographer is unable to successfully capture their awesomeness? You’ll treasure your wedding photos for a lifetime, don’t gamble with them — just book Wallflower. Start the conversation here.

Congrats again to the dedicated, hard-working people handling weddings at these 12 Tacoma’s Top Wedding Venues! After all, membership in TTWV is exclusive, based solely on performance and not for sale like all the other wedding websites out there, so your inclusion is truly something to be proud of!
