The badge logo of Tacoma's Top Wedding VenuesCongratulations to the 12 Tacoma-area wedding venues that made the just-announced 2013 roster of Tacoma’s Top Wedding Venues (www.tacomaweddingvenues.com)!

Seven of these top-notch wedding venues have been on the roster of Tacoma’s Top Wedding Venues since we launched it in 2011: Union Station, Thornewood Castle, Museum of Glass, Chambers Bay Golf Course, Lakewold Gardens, Washington State History Museum, and Hotel Murano.

We added the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center last year, and this year have added four more venues: the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium, and expanding the geographical range of TTWV a bit, the best venues in Gig Harbor (Kensington Gardens), Auburn (Sanders Estate) and Puyallup (Rock Creek Gardens). It’s quite the all-star list of South Sound wedding venues!

We’ve just completed this year’s round of updates to the Tacoma’s Top Wedding Venues website. Besides adding the four new venues, we’ve added highlights from a variety of 2012 weddings to the photo galleries of the existing venues. We’ve also reworked many of the older photos so that they match our current style, which has gained a little more pop than in our earlier years. The size of photos on the website is now 20% larger.

We also have separate online portfolio sites for six TTWV venues that show off even more photos from weddings we’ve photographed there. These websites were also recently updated with photos from 2012 weddings and the same set of technological improvements that the TTWV website received. All together, there are a total of 12 new weddings from 2012 that are now being featured on these websites.

Tacoma’s Top Wedding Venues, and our six affiliated venue portfolio websites, all represent a massive effort to help our favorite hometown wedding venues better market themselves to prospective brides from all over the region. Look: The Tacoma area has some truly spectacular, one-of-a-kind wedding venues. We know this better than just about anyone else, having shot weddings in nearly all of them over the years. And while none of these venues would be considered cheap, their price relative to comparable venues in the Seattle area are very competitive.

If you’re engaged and looking for the perfect wedding venue, start with Tacoma’s Top Wedding Venues, where you can see dozens of highlights of real weddings held at the very best venues in the Tacoma area. If you’ve already booked one of these venues for your wedding, use our photo galleries for ideas and inspiration, seeing how other couples have utilized and decorated your chosen venue.

We love photographing weddings at these 12 venues, and as you’ll see in these photos, we’re quite good at each of them. What’s the point of getting married in one of these awesome venues if your photographer is unable to successfully capture their awesomeness? You’ll treasure your wedding photos for a lifetime, don’t gamble with them — just book Wallflower.

And, good news! To make it even easier to book Wallflower, we are now offering $300 preferred venue discounts off any of our wedding photography packages! All venues on Tacoma’s Top Wedding Venues, plus a select set of additional venues, are on our preferred venues list.

Congrats again to the dedicated, hard-working people handling weddings at these 12 Tacoma’s Top Wedding Venues! After all, membership in TTWV is exclusive, based solely on performance and not for sale like all the other wedding websites out there, so your inclusion is truly something to be proud of!
