We’ve had a huge surge in wedding inquiries that has kept us slammed since the end of the Seattle Wedding Show, but I’ve finally had a chance to work through the photos that Laura and I took of some really amazing booths during rare slow times at the show. The photo above is of a sign in the New York Cupcakes booth, and below are a handful of other favorites. You can find the full set of photos on our special wedding show photography webpage at www.wallflowerphoto.com/weddingshows.
Organizers of the Seattle Wedding Show ask photographers every year to photograph the show. Last year, our first exhibiting in the show, we took their request seriously and ended up taking two different photos that they used in ads in local wedding magazines and websites! We’re going for a repeat performance. Photographing wedding shows is fun, with so many exhibitors showing off, though the challenge is in framing photos in a way that eliminates clutter and crowds, all while working fast and light to be minimally intrusive, which of course is the Wallflower way.

Inside the tent at the Seattle Met Bride & Groom magazine’s booth, with “romantic nomadic” decor by P.J. Hummel & Company.
Three photos of the richly colored and ornamental booth of P.J. Hummel and Company.

One of the wedding cakes in the Blue Ribbon All-Inclusive Weddings booth.
A hanging glass globe in the bright pink Plum Tree Floral Design booth. I love how the rectangular lights in the convention center’s ceiling reflect off it.

Three photos from the JBK Weddings booth. Those are card boxes — decorative pieces for the gift table to keep all of those valuable wedding cards safe and in one place.

Two different tables in the Seattle Farm Tables booth.
Two photos of the booth of wedding venue The Ruins.
Four cakes in the booth of The People’s Cake.
Six cakes in the Celebrity Cake Studio booth on the Skybridge.
I stared at this bar sign all show long, since it was part of the Invisible Hostess booth across the aisle from ours. They won best large booth award, congrats!
