We first met Lacie at the 2009 South Sound Wedding Show in Olympia — where we’ll have a booth again this year on January 31st. Stop by and say hi! (Click here for more info). We’ll also be at the Afternoon of Northwest Elegance bridal show at the Heritage Room this Saturday, the 23rd. Both events will offer great opportunities to meet some of the top wedding vendors in the Northwest, get ideas for unique ceremonies and receptions, and kick-off the planning of your own wedding. We hope to see you there!
Lacie and Kyle were full of smiles and fun expressions at their wedding this fall. The couple’s ceremony was held at the family church, Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Tacoma.
After a ceremony full of both beaming smiles and reverence for their faith, we headed out with Lacie and Kyle along with their best man and maid of honor for a mini portrait tour of downtown Tacoma, including stops at the Chihuly Bridge of Glass and the Hotshop Cone at Museum of Glass, Washington State History Museum, and the Greater Tacoma Convention Center.
We even grabbed a few spare minutes to take some portraits of Lacie and Kyle in the lobby of their reception venue, the Courtyard at Marriott Downtown Tacoma.
Lacie and Kyle then joined their guests in the ballroom at the Courtyard at Marriott. We’ve spent time with lots of brides getting married in downtown Tacoma who get ready at the Courtyard at Marriott, but this was our first time joining a couple for their reception in the hotel’s ballroom. After a fabulous dinner, Lacie and Kyle enjoyed a few laughs and tears during the toasts before taking the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife.
Congrats Lacie and Kyle!

As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and as a fellow photographer I’ve always found photographing weddings in the Kingdom Halls to be unflattering due to the lighting used. You did a very nice job all around!
